Fall has arrived...at last. I was beginning to have my doubts as temperatures were in the 80's and 90's last week. I am so glad the cooler temperatures have arrived, although I may be very sad by the time spring arrives. Only time will tell.
It took a while, but I have recovered from Penned Con and am on the waiting list for a table when someone cancels for next year. They sold out in only one day. My fault for being so slow.
Barkley is enjoying the change in weather, he sat on the patio last night and this morning enjoying the fresh air. Of course at 3 am...it was a bit cold for me. I now have long sleeve shirts available and a sweat shirt for going out with him after dark.
My new 'major project' has begun. My editor, Sandy Maue, and I are rewriting a short story from 8 years ago titled Spirit Dagger. It is a paranormal fantasy about a young Japanese girl whose spirit is trapped in a dagger. It will be a major challenge turning a 7,000 word short story into a 40,000 word novella. But we are off to a good start. Although we are still working on the prologue, we have Chapter One pretty well put together.
The St. Louis Indie Book Fair is November Third. Sandy and I will be there. She will talk about her editing and have her first book available for sale and I will have last year's novel and this year's two Novelettes.
I hope everyone has a fun and adventurous Halloween. Stay safe.
